Project Overview

Smart home retrofit of a three-storey family home in Langenfeld. Roller shutters, radiator heating, lighting and garden cameras across 18 rooms, all run from one app with a 3D model of the house.

Roller Shutters

All 10 shutters go up and down from the phone, one at a time or a whole floor at once. They stop at any height too, so half closed against the afternoon sun is one slider away.

Radiator Heating

You set the temperature for the room, not for each radiator. The living room can sit at 21° while the guest room stays cool, and the app shows how warm every room is right now.

Lighting

The lights work from the app and from the switches on the wall, so nobody has to relearn the house. Before bed, one look at the phone tells you if a light is still on downstairs.

Garden Security

Two cameras watch the garden and the front yard. Open the app to see what is going on outside, and whether the garden doors are shut.

3D House View

The app shows the house as it really is: three floors, the garden and the driveway. Tap a room to see what is in it, or tap a shutter to move exactly that one.
