Buyer's guide · Dubai
How to choose a villa automation company in Dubai
Dubai has many smart home installers, from device shops to large integrators. The right one for a villa is the one that takes responsibility for the whole result. These are the questions worth asking before you sign.

1. Who is responsible for the whole villa?
The most common problem in smart homes is a patchwork: one company for lights, another for cameras, a third for the AC, and several apps that do not work together. Ask who plans, installs and configures every system, and who you call when something does not work.
2. What exactly does the price include?
Compare complete prices, not device lists. A turnkey price should include planning, hardware, installation, configuration, calibration, handover and support after handover. Ask for a written fixed price for the agreed scope.
3. Will it work in an existing villa?
If your villa is already finished, ask how the installer handles retrofit: what can be added without opening walls, and what would need new wiring.
4. How will the family use it?
A smart villa is only as good as the way everyone uses it. Ask to see the app, how scenes work, whether wall switches keep working, and whether there is voice control.
5. What happens after handover?
Ask what support is included, how changes are made later, and which costs to expect after installation, including any subscriptions.
6. Which brands, and how open is it?
Proven, widely available brands are easier to service and extend. Ask whether you would be locked into one vendor's hardware.

Questions villa owners ask
What is the difference between a smart home shop and a villa automation company?
A shop sells devices that you set up yourself. A villa automation company plans the whole home, installs and connects every system and hands it over working.
Should I choose wired or wireless?
In a new build, wiring can be planned from the start. In an existing villa, wireless devices and compact modules avoid opening walls. A good installer explains which suits your villa.
How do I compare quotes?
Check that each quote covers the same rooms and systems and includes installation, configuration, calibration, handover and support, not only hardware.
What should I ask about costs after installation?
Ask what support is included and which services may carry a recurring fee. With NoorIQ, one month of support is included, and we tell you upfront if a service may carry a fee.
